What is a life Coach? A Look at Runes and Their Modern Use By Gayle Tracey Very often in East Texas people are scared by the idea of Rune Readings. Runes are often misunderstood. Runes were the very first glyphs that were drawn onto cave walls. In actuality the very first form of writing known to man is Runes. Our current alphabet is derived from Runes. That having been said, people should realize that there are a large variety of Runes available on the market today, and not all sets are for all people. Runes are not a form of divination. They are an oracle you can consult in direct relation to yourself and your current situation. Runes are excellent to use for focusing yourself in the present moment, if used correctly. Runes can be of extreme use in personal problem solving. The set and type of Runes you choose has much to do with your personal belief system and comfort level. The Book of Runes by Ralph H. Blum is wonderful and is very secular in nature, expressing many basic philosophy principals that can be used by anyone. Blum also has a Rune Set called The Healing Runes, which are more Christianized and were designed to work with the AA program. Blum also has a set of Relationship Runes. The main point is that runes are very personal to the user and should be chosen with care and consideration. If you are interested in studying Runes you should either look for a class or a book that will give you a good foundation in their use. Too often Runes are sold with no real instructions to go with them. The use of Runes helps you to connect to your own intuition and sense of knowing. Runes are a wonderful problem solving device and they help you identify your feelings on a variety of subjects. Runes are about you and your relationship to yourself. They help bring you into the present moment. In ancient times, no decision was ever made without at first consulting the Runes. They’re actually just as valid in today’s society when used correctly. When used correctly, runes can guide you through your daily ups and downs, giving you the ability to adapt to life’s varying patterns. Simply put a Life Coach is an individual who helps you identify problems in your life and then proceeds to give you tools and strategies to help you solve your problems.
Many of you are now thinking to yourself, well I know what my problem is, and I don't have any shortage of people to tell me how to fix it. My mom, sister, best friend, etc. All of them have told me how to fix my problems.
So the next question is have you been able to solve your problems with the help of family and friends? If the answer is yes, wonderful for you, but if the answer is no, then you need a Life Coach.
Why can a complete stranger help you when friends and family cannot? A major reason is that a Life Coach is not part of the problem. They can help you to look objectively at the patterns that created your behavior, in the first place. The other reason Life Coaching succeeds where friends and family fail is due to our own human nature. All to often we ignore the advice of friends and family because they are familiar to us, and all to often they are actually part of the problem. However, it's different for a totally unknown individual who does not have an emotional investment in your situation, to offer you support and guidance. This is the job of a Life Coach.
Meditation, Positive Affirmations, Intuitive Readings, Journaling and retreats are just a few of the tools a good life coach may use to help you over come your problems. Most importantly a Life Coach will give you a healthy dose of positive tough love. The thing a life coach will require of you is a true willingness to to change.
